:bum: This may sound silly but how do you prune or trim caulerpa mexicana. I recently planted it (2weeks)I have it growing in a hang on refugium and the tops are a little brown on a few blades can I just snip the ends? When it's time to remove some because of overgrowth do I just rip it out of the miricle mud, cut it out or again trim the tops only.
Thanks,
Tom:smokin:

Doesn't seem to matter how you trim it.
Caulerpa is coenocytic (each specimen is a single, multinucleate cell), and is programmed to quickly glomm and seal up any physical compromise to the 'cell wall'.

Granted, just ripping it out can disturb the substrate, and/or upset any rockwork... so if that is a problem, then proceed with care.

Me I just grab and pull
