How long do they take to open up. I got four frags on tuesday, I'd say about half have opened up and some have opened and closed back up, and some haven't opened at all. What's the average size and how big do they get? Also do they like any current? I have them close to the bottom and they don't get much current down there.

Depends, but they should be open by now. If you see any white film collecting on them blow it off with a powerhead or turkey baster.


Size also depends, from 1/8" or smaller to 1" depending on the type.

I would try moving them to a higher current area. Don't necessarily blast them, but some good current right now might help them open up.

Tried moving them around but the damn things keep falling or getting knocked off before I can find a place they like.
