We had an awesome meeting on March 14th with Eric Borneman as our guest speaker! Eric’s topic was “Corals You Can Keep Alive� but he covered so much more then that.
He addressed issues like:
Which corals do and don’t do well and why
How the aquarist can be more responsible about their coral selection and husbandry techniques
Understanding the biology of the animals we try and keep
Interactions between the animals
Substances produced and what they do
How coral coloration is determined
How to identify low-light and high-light corals
Good and bad industry practices
And much more!
Eric stayed until 11PM to answer questions for the members and sign copies of his latest book, “Aquarium Corals�. We all learned so much and thank Eric for taking the time to meet with us. The event was videotaped. If you missed the meeting, you can see it on video.
