Does anybody know how I magically appeared on the ReefCollection mailing list w/o ever even visiting there or signing up for this list. Not that I mind because a flame angel for $16.50 is a steal! :eek2:
But only if it lives. How are the fish there? Since I've never been in the store.

I got a Copper Band Butterfly their 2 weeks ago and he is doing fine. It took a few days to get him to eat but that’s expected. So far I have been satisfied. Not sure about the mailing list thing, I received it also.

So you think maybe he just collected the e-mail addresses from this forum?
Glad to hear your CBB is doing good. Maybe I'll go by there & check it out in the morning. Does he have any inverts?

I don't think he is getting them here. I do remember giving someone my email address to put me on his list now that I think about it. Besides, I don't mind getting deals on fish either!

I just got a flame angel there. Victor seems to be a good guy & he does have a nice store. Although, not completely stocked yet he does seem to be working on increasing his inventory. His good prices is what I like!

When I was there, he was pulling all of the southdown out of the tanks and redoing all of center tanks. Looked like a constructions site. I liked his prices also.

If anyone from the greater San Bernardino/Apple Valley/Big Bear area is going to Victor's, would you please shoot me an email?
Thank you,
India

India, could you forward me a copy? I did not get it!
The flame angel is still doing good but has a touch of ich, & is under copper treatment in the q-tank.

I got a Flame Angel from them this past Sunday. Can't beat that price! Not even Jeff's Exotic can beat it! His fish look even better than the fish at Jeff's. Its doing well in my tank, although i have yet to see it eat. It does, however, nip at the rocks all day long, so its probably getting its food from there. So far so good.

I'm probably going back this weekend! For a Harlequin tusk. Great price on those guys. From what I got From India - it looks like they are $38.65. They aren't reef safe are they? I was hoping to put one in my FO tank but would he get along with a dogface puffer? I have to do some more research to make sure.

Steve,

Ali had a tusk in his tank for a while and never bothered any of his corals, I like those guys also and considering getting one...but I like the Australian ones though, more colorful

I haven't done much research on those guys yet - I didn't know they were reef safe. But I have some clams & those teeth don't look too reef friendly.
I was actually thinking of putting him in the FO tank. After quarantine of course!

Hey Vic,

Thanks for the hook up again man! Can't wait to see what corals you're gonna get tomorrow. I hope you save me the table I told you about, before everyone else nabs it all up. I hate working so late at night and not being able to get first dibs. I hope you're tank will still be full of corals as you mention when that shipment arrives tomorrow, 'cuz I don't need any more fish, bring the CORALS BABY!!!

Dat has the Harlequin in his tank now. What a wonderful fish, it ate well, never bothered anything, quite peaceful, but he would go after small snails or hermits. I would much rather have a H.T. than snails and hermits. Top 5 most beautiful fish in the reef.

As far as Victor's store goes, I've been helping Victor maintain his large display tank due to some major problems he was having with it initially. Everything is going so well now and I'm happy for him. He just got some killer acros, and I honestly do not know what is going through Victor's head. The prices he tells me he will be selling corals and fish for are going to be unbelievable. They will blow everybody away. I don't know how places like Jeff's, Fish2000, or other discount type marine fish stores will have a chance once everything is set-up, which is in the very near future.

Definitely good news for us So-cal reefers.

I will say this though, Victor needs to chill-out with posting too much on reef central as a business and buy a sponsership instead. He is a great guy, great store, great prices and it would be horrible that due to his posts being edited/warned by mods, etc., that he builds a bad reputation here. I honestly don't think Victor is familiar with the rules on B.B.'s since he doesn't really use computers much. He just see's this as free advertising sometimes, and that's understandable. Anyway, other than that, he's a good guy, good store, and will bend over backwards for his customers, so if you're looking for a cool, clean, easy-going atmosphere to shop in for healthy fish and corals at great prices, check it out.

Hows that for a plug? lol.

Ali,

You took the words right out of my mouth! His prices are unreal! I go to Indorica, which is a wholesaler every now and then and Victor's prices are equivalent or better. Unbelievable! I wish I had a fo tank or else I would've snatched up his beautiful Golden Butterflyfish he had for only $45.:eek2: I've never seen them anywhere for under a $100. I too, told him to be a sponser here on RC. Too bad his place wasn't any bigger. We could have the SCMAS meetings there. I seriously do not know any store that has cheaper prices on livestock. One more good thing about Victor, he'll special order anything he can get a hold of for you that way you don't have to keep going to an lfs' waiting for that special something when he can just contact you when it's in. Great customer service!

Yep,
I have Ali's Tusk and it has not bothered any corals in my tank at all! But I have no corals in my tank right now.

Victor is a great guy and the prices is excellent. I can't way to see his whole store stock with fish and coral. Southern Cali reefers should stop by Victor's shop to check it out for themself.
