I have a pair of crown conch, or Melongena corona for trade. I'm removing them from my tank as they are predatory. Really only suitable for a tank without snails, as they are the meal of choice.
Honestly, I never saw them go for a snail, but they did wipe out two clams. :(
Anyone interested??

wow I have a few baby tank raised fighter conchs. I also have what was supposed to be larger ones but I saw them one nite and they look like huge ssnails in conch shells. I purchased them from Fishyinch. I hope they do not eat any of my clams.

Jay,

Fighting Conchs ( Strombus alatus ) are not predatory and are algae eaters ( diatoms on the sandbed ). I wouldn't worry about your clams.

Shoot me over your email if you want to get on the mailing list to hear about future meetings, etc.
