I still have a bit of work to do, but for the most part the 125 is complete. Kind of a humbling experience, to say the least. Anyway, go here to see what I have so far:

No smart aleck comments on the biotope. ;) As I mentioned in another thread, it is the NacWhit biotope: Not a clue what it imitates. But all my babies made it and that's what counts. :)

Looking good Larry!!!

Hey did you do that mod to the skimmer in which the overflow for the skimate goes into the gallon jug? Any tips there? Also, what did you lay down under the sump?

Larry,
It appears that I will be using the same light fixture for my refugium that you are. Do you know the kelvin temp of your bulb? Have you been using this light on a previous tank? And, if so, how well does the macro algea grow?

I have almost the same sump design as you, except take out the partition near your skimmer. So there is only two partitions not includeing the one you added that was not in your design that you posted. My problem is that the flow through the refugium is too fast. All of my sand get blown into the pump part. How does yours not?

The Reef Devil comes with that fitting already on the collection cup. I just ran a hose to the jug. I laid some indoor/outdoor carpeting under the sump, mainly for noise silencing purposes.

The pc fixture is a Lights of America, supposedly it is about 5000K. For macro algae, it really doesn't matter, it will grow just fine (if not better) under low-kelvin lighting.

The last partition is a temporary one that I stuck into place (not glued) while the Reef Devil breaks in. It kicks out a ton of bubbles during break-in, and the extra partition keeps most of them from being returned to the tank. What size sand grain are you using? Mine is not blowing around the sump.
