I've been lurking here a bit--up until now I have found zoos pretty boring, but I must say I am just WOWED by what I have seen on this forum. Where do you guys find such awesome zooanthids? Are there vendors that carry all these colors? Is it getting lucky at your lfs? Is there a secret society I have to join?

Its called Order of the Zoanthid. You know, like on the Flintstones when they wear the water buffalo horns on their heads? We wear tentacles.

Actually its a little program called photoshop.

JK. My zoos are the result of daily visits to my LFS waiting to find something worth buying, and just finding local people to trade with. A good trick when looking for colorful ones in the store is to imagine what the zoanthids will look like under YOUR lights. Its often very different than how they look in the store, especially if they don't have actinics.
