Will zoanthids grow over HA?

I have a patch that's doing good but behind it is a patch of hair algae. Will they just keep going over it or should I remove the rock & scrub it off?

I would suspect, if any, coral to overcome hair algae it would be GSP. But in my case the hair algae has grown on top of the GSP. The GSP doesn't seem to mind, and there are few other patches of algae other than on them. Maybe they have a symbiotic thing going on.:D

It has been my experiance that algae will grow on anything, including zoanthids. That's why I hate it so bad.:mad2:

All I can say is that bryopsis is killing the hitch hiker GSP's I have..........Which is a good thing!

They have become a pretty seet color though, its kind of clearish- neon green.
