I saw some clamp on fixtures at HD (good price $7.99) & I want to use a bulb like this (http://www.petsolutions.com/cgi-bin/cgiitmls?m=ThisP&p=1054.250000&l=27) mini compact bulb that petsolutions has but what kelvin is it? It doesn't say on their website. Would I need 2 of these bulbs? I just want maybe some zoanthids & shrooms in there.
I was also thinking about adding a prizm skimmer to the tank. The skimmer is taller than the tank so I was thinking about building a stand to raise the tank up. Could I put my heater in the prizm? And could I skip a powerhead if the skimmer return is creating some water movement? Is that a good idea or am I insane?

I was just thinking a clamp on light fixture would be great, then I could poing it anywhere w/o too much trouble.
I guess I'll just have to try it & see?!

Sounds good. I'm open to suggestions because I have not bought any lighting yet. What the website? Azoo.com is not coming up.

What about this? Item # CD-518529 SmartLite Retrofit Kit (13") $ 51.99 at petwarehouse.com (drfostersmith). That looks nice & might even fit on the tank + keep out my cat!
As you can see I guess I have plenty of room up front for the lights.

aka, don't buy a skimmer for a 3g tank...waste of money

build a refugium instead
water change on 3g tank=5 minutes, if you are slow..don't waste $$ on a skimmer
