I have seen some pics where the zoos are growing on the glass.
How do you get them started on the glass?

Hi,

I think it's possible to get a start on the glass by chipping off one of the zoanthids from the rock with a large colonie. Then just glue that piece onto the glass and it should start to bud off toward the top of the glass. So, I would start the colonie near the bottom somwhere. Just somthing you would have to try.

In my personal tank, I simply placed some zoos on a rock and leaned it up against the glass. Then wait. Once the zoos start on the glass take a real sharp knife (exacto razor) and cut away the rock. BINGO zoos on the glass. I do not think glueing is an option underwater. Now if you glued them on first and then filled the tank BINGO again.

I'd go with pizza's idea, if forgot about that way, I guess I just wasn't thinking.....

Actually you can glue underwater. With super glue gel, or maybe the apoxy for the live rock would work.

i agree with holeinone, zoos spread fast anyways so placing a rock near the glass would probably be the best way, i did this unintentionally with xenia and it covered the back of my tank.
