Try lightly blowing it off with a turkey baster or something similar. If that doesnt work , give is some time. Mine does this as well, and I just get rid of it with a baster.

I have a finger leather that does something similar, coating itself with slime periodically. I've heard it's a way of keeping itself free of algea and other nasty stuff. Mine's in a somewhat high-flow area, so it just comes off on its own after a few days.

Yes, Skidge is right...they do this to clear off algae and various other "things" that may build up or adhere to the coral, mine just did it when I did a lighting upgrade. It would eventually turn a light brown and break off, I do the same with the baster when it starts breaking apart.
So it's all good and dandy.
