Just wanted to say Hello to everyone,This is my first time posting.
Its great to hear from people from this area with the same intrest as me. I have just finished cycleing my 5 1/2 gal nano-reef and will be looking for some starter corals soon I hope.Can anyone come to the meetings that are talked about? I would love to get some small frags from people who have taken the time to grow corals themselves. Sorry for the long post. Thanks, Shawn

Welcome Shawn,

There's usually a pretty good turnout at the monthly meetings. I hope you can make it to the next one (March 12 PARC Schedule (http://phillyreef.org/main/meetings/meeting_info.htm))

There's usually someone in the club who is willing to bring in a frag of something or other you're looking for, and there's probably no other group better at helping get your tank ready for those first corals.

Good luck with the 5-1/2. You have to be really dedicated for a tank that small. This is my 15

Thanks for the welcome Eric,I will realy try to come to the next meeting.Yes my 5.5 keeps me on my toes,I swear I must add water to my tank at least once a day but its all worth it. I just added 2 scarlet reef hermits and a small turbo snail to start my clean up crew (gotta get rid of that alge). Once again thanks for the welcome. Shawn P.S. Thanks. That Xenia came to me a couple of months ago courtesy of a club member (thanks again John!) who says it grows like weeds in his tank. Hang around long enough and someone will have some that they'll be willing to cull from their field and bring to a meeting for ya. :cool:

I would love some xenia but I have nothing to trade I just finished my cycle and just added my first coral (a nice looking mushroom rock) but thank you for the offer. Shawn
