There's no pictures coming through. Just cute little boxes with a red "X".

Hey lax person...I've got a defenseman in my house. Oh yeah!

Chris-
Do you have any heat problems with your tank from the halide? The reason I ask is because i am here in Orange county(so cal) and am contemplating on my new 40 gallon cube with a 150 watt halide, but I have a feeling that when the summer comes up, the tank will over heat/ Let me know what you think and anyone else who lives in californa i would appreciate your suggestions.

Heat you say...? Muahahahaha, it's gettin hot in here! No, on a serious note yes I do have alot of heat coming from it. My temp is from 78 to 80. 80 being when the halide is on. MH is at about 8 inches above water and I have incorporated CPU fans into the canopy to blow the hot air out. Another thing I have helping me out is the tank is nearby a door & window which is open most of the time so the cool air comes in and helps cooling also. Summer IS coming up and I will be buying one of those ICEPROBEs?? I hope thats what they call it. I read somewhere it works on small tanks but on a 40 you might need two. I might need two also because I plan on putting 2 VHO Actinic 03's in to drown out the yellow my Iwasaki produces. :(

Check my site in my signature. Fully plumbed to a 6 gallon sump. I have a 250W 10KK over my 15 gal tall. Same footprint as a 10 gallon but taller.

As for heat, I've had my troubles and I have done a few things to help with it. It's all described in at my setup gallery. On a hot day my temp will be around 84.
