Heard some where that the two go together. Is there a benefit to having them together?

Sorry have a bad habit of not being complete.

Yellow pulups and zoos are what I had in mind.

differant family of zoos the yellows are. But zoos just the same. They go fine together. Though the bigger zoos will cover them eventually. Greg

Sometimes yes, sometimes no, mostly no in my experience. My yellow star polyps burn other zoos that are near them. I do have yellow button polyps, which are not YSP, that can grow next to other zoos with no aggression, but my YSP are semi-aggressive (as they should be, they are colonial anemones, and not zoos at all).

Do you have a picture. My friend thinks your talking about anemones too. I think your talking zoos. Friends question: Quarter inch anemone thats yellow or polyp like zoo thats yellow. If its the tiny anemone then I learned something new, I thought they were a mat type polyp like zoos. Not indivual anemones. Greg

Diesel Man, they are talking about the individual yellow polyps, not the yellowish white mats that we have in Fla. PS you shouldnt show your secret spots to the world, you might get picked out. I go down there a lot and see lots of cool softies, and it takes years to figure where they all live. Even around here in Sarasota, we have lots of softies and it takes forever to know where they all live here. Not ragging on ya, just didnt want your spots to dry up, Steve.

The zoo spots shown are all ugly green:) The other color spots are topsecret:) The blues are even gaurded by a big mean dog. Good thing he likes me and mcdonalds fries. Greg

It is really funny when you look back at the first few posts in this Zoo forum. I get a kick out of the first few pages and how far we have become in understanding the species and health. Thanks for the forum and happy reefing. Some fun reading!!
