10 Gallon Nano

http://www.nano-reef.com/gregmoeck/fuzzy.JPG

I wanted to post this picture which is a month old. Ok. Notice how Brown this Acro piece is. Now look down at the last image and see the color difference. That's because I went from 2 - 36 watt PC to a 96 watt powerquad. Notice the Brown changed to Bright green

I will try my best to answer your questions:

I have about 15 lbs of fiji live rock and a 2-3 inch live sand bed. I fed Roti-Pods last month so the sand bed is crawling. I use DT's now.

I dose with aragamilk. I just drop about 5 drops in a day and sometimes skip a day. I do a 1 gallon water change a week and the only filtration is the rocks and sand. I do have 2 aquaclear hob power filters but they have rock and sand in them.

I run Kent Marine Carbon once a month. I dont have a test kit so I can't give you readings. I have never used a test kit in all of my years of saltwater keeping. The levels must be right because of the good coraline growth along with the actual coral growth/expansion.

I have a clean up crew that consist of 6 turbo snails, 6 blue legs, 10 nassarus snails, one pepermint shrimp, one emarald crab, one damsel.

I don't have any signs of alqae. The only alqae I have is the disc macro and some calerpra.

I use R/O DI exclusivly and no other additives. The aragamilk is it.

You don't have to be exact just do that water change...

Hope this helps.

I have 2 Aqua Clear hang on the back power filters. I just tossed some live rock rubble in them and some sand. I don't run a sponge or anything else in the filters. Just tossed the rock and rubble in there. I have all kinds of mysis shrimp and critters living in there and some nice algae.

I've used aqua clear's for years and never had one break on me. I wont clean the filter's out until I absolutly have to or they break. I want all kinds of funk to grow back there which helps the clean my tank water. It's kinda like a mini refugium.

I may take away the one filter and add a power head again because I don't think I have enough circulation.

The funky'er the better back there.
