if you want a HOT get a remora they are supposed to rock. i have a back pack that i am not too impressed w/. JUST DON"T GET A PRISM OR A SEACLONE!

get a remora, a PM HOT-1, or if you have a sump get a Euro-Reef ES5-2 :D

A skimmer is a must. You wont believe how clear it makes your water. Here is a link to FAQ at wetwebmedia about skimmers:

http://www.wetwebmedia.com/skimselfaqs.htm

They give great advise.

I second the "don't get a Prizm or Seaclone" comment. I really wish I would have gotten the BakPak instead of my Prizm. It was only $30 more. Oh well, hind sight is 20/20.

i have a 12gal nano that i am using a remora with the pump upgrade and the surface skimmer box. the clarity of the tank is such that it looks as if you could reach into the water and the surface is clear as a bell. amazing!

if you don't mind it in your tank or have a refugium or sump on your nano people seem to like the Piccolo skimmer made by Sanders. The only trick is finding one, company is the same one that makes those ozonizers (german) and I don't know where you can find them retail or online.
