I have a canopy that I got with my 125 gallon tank. I made a new canopy so this one needs to go. It isn't for sale, just trade me something for it. I would rather see it go to someone that can use it instead of going into the trash.

Lime,

Here are some pics I just took of my 100. I don't really have a pic of the slimer although you will see a branch or two in a photo. Imagine four slimer colonies about 8-12" across.

http://photos.yahoo.com/snoack321

select '100G Feb 4th 2003'

Basically, a very large green a.chesterfieldensis, large green a.humilis. Some plating montipora, m.digitata, m.capriconus, m.confusa and other stuff.

For beginning SPS I'd say the purple m.digitata and green slimer (a.yongei) is by far the best stuff to start out with. The capricornis is also easy BUT can easily overshadow everything else in the tank.

All,

Bad news on the eballasts. Several times when I tried firing the bulbs they would not fire. Not all the time but sometimes. So, to be on the safe side I'm pulling them out and will donate them for tax writeoff. Sorry, to all those who wanted them. I've emailed you individually. Yea, it would have been a great deal.

I would be interested in some trades, SPS maybe or MH bulbs. PM mail for questions or offers.

Large yellow porites colony - 4"+ - this colony was doing really well and fell behind the rockwork for a couple months - its been recomvering for about 3 months now and while its a large healthy colony there are some bits of exposed skeleton where it was damaged. THe porites are encrusting so it will cover the skeleton completely given another couple months.... this is a steal.. this is a pic of how the colony will look - $30 (http://www.livinglava.com/Corals_Gallery/cwdata/yellow_porties_2-01.jpg)

Nice yellow skeleton green polyp pocillopora from Dr Mac - two 2"+ colonies mounted on the same rock - $30 (http://www.livinglava.com/Corals_Gallery/drmacpocillo_12-02.jpg) (or will break off one colony for $20)

If you are serious about buying and can meet me at TP this Sunday afternoon please email me so we can exchange phone numbers.

Chris,

I've got some green psamacora and would LOVE some of your purpleish stuff.
I'll take your teal acro if it is still available. And, one of your purple/green a.humulis.

But, I have to leave TP by 12:15PM for a meeting in Milpitas by 1:00PM. Got any suggestions on how we can hook up?

PS 3 men and a baby. Funny movie and I feel for you. <grin>

ETSS Reef Devil - SOLD
2 seahorses - SOLD
Slimer - SOLD
m.cap - SOLD

Thanks for helping me clean the garage and my tank. :D

PS You can get marine epoxy from OSH for about $5 a 6" tube if you cannot find any other source. For Super glue-GEL, the last time I bought some was a large bottle from championlighting me thinks. Or, again you get get one of those tiny squeeze tubes from OSH for $2, but they are only good for a few frags. Make sure you get the GEL since is just think enough to mount frags.

For anybody intested what I still had here it is:
red sea xenia small $2
pulsing xenia small $2
purple rim cap frag $10
neon green fungia 3.5" $20
two-tone ricordia yumas(green/grey) $8 each
yellow scroll frag $10
turquoise/dark chocolate brown stag, very furry polyps, a little tissue loss from stinging by other acro, but still healty $8
neon green tipped pocillopora, teeny branches, a colony about the size of a ping pong ball $10
various zoo frags, maybe a few others. $10 each

Looking for pc retro's (55w and less), also possibly trades for blastomussa, other colors of ricordia and other neat corals, be they sps, lps or softies. Also a little macroalgae if anybody has gracilaria. Thanks all.

For you superglue needs, check the local hobby shops. I got 2oz of thick superglue for like $7 at San antonio hobbies in Mountain view. This compares to 0.07 oz in one of those HD packs. They also have different viscosities, the thick stuff isn't as thick as the gel, but works well.

jimmyc
02/22/2003, 06:39 PM
you can get (2) .07oz tubes of SuperGlue Gel for 1.47+tax at Home Depot. Its in the painting department.

These small tubes are good for about (2) sps mounts or about (4) to (6) zoo mounts.

I like using the smaller tubes because you end up using a whole tube, and not have any leftovers that can dry up.

go to the following site:

and select the 'RIGHT' picture. You will see all three
corals that are currently available: brown on left,
center is big slimer (branching) and on the right you
is the straight one. The angle of the picture is very
misleading, since these corals are big.

I prefer to trade as I paid a fair amount for the frags from mohnahans (spelling) RC aquacultured forum. But ill take $20.00 for the aculeus and pulchra and $12.00
for the caps and digi 1" to 2" frags most where fragged a few weeks ago. San Leandro would be the only meeting place my wife can make and her meeting has been pushed back a week or two, she will be coming from Fresno if this helps.

I am in Santa Rosa and I am looking for a complete 80-150gal reef tank setup. I will need a tank, stand, lighting, sump, skimmer, or any combination. I have lots to trade no fish stuff, but other stuff, cars, trailers, 4x4 parts, Motorcycle, lots of copper, Fridges, dishwashers, ovens, ranges, ect…. I could also trade design/plan work for a remodel or addition. Or I could just pay cash. Anybody getting rid of a complete setup, PM me or email grandvile@hotmail.com Thanks ;)

Getting ready to set up a 40 gallon reef, and am looking for some metal halide set-ups. Would prefer a ballast that will run 2 -175 to 250 watt bulbs, and an Ice Cap 430 ballast.

does anyone know how long it should take a ricordia to look like a normal ricordia after it has been fraged? I recently chopped a couple of caps and cut the caps into quarter sections. I've never done it before and I'm very impatient.

Maybe a month or so. I usually let my rics split by themselves so that is why I am not so sure as I haven't fragged them for a while.

Just thought I would let everyone know that Natural Life Aquarium in Sunnyvale got a lot of SPS in the other day and there are some really nice corals. Some of the most colorful acros I have ever seen.

what kind of sps? waltsmith?
no rip on that store but i cant imagine how much he'd be asking per colony if that one frag was $90.

The most expensive colony was $90. And that colony was HUGE. most are good sized colonies going for around $50-$60.

To be honest I am not sure where the corals came from. Hey reefer, do you still have those Zoos? If so do you want to meet up? I'll send you a P.M.
