My 2.5G tank is being taken over by Xenia and Capnella frags so it was the perfect time to start moving some things (along with the free frags I got at a frag meet) into my 10G tank after I rearranged the rockwork for a more pleasing look. The pics here are 800X600 but at the following link (http://www.repositorical.com/Aquaria/Nano%20Reef/10G/1-27-03/) you can check out some of the 2048X1536 shots and other small ones that I took with a Canon S30. Today I'm going to read the manual to improve on some of my up close shots which are good but not perfect yet (check the link for them).

My Capnella "cliff". Going for the Bonsai tree in remote location look from Karate Kid.

More trees (capnella and xenia) are on the way later this week along with a tiny 4 polyp Orange zoo that decided to run away from the mother colony in the 2.5G tank :).

The tank isn't drilled. The overflow in the corner is only half the height of the tank. Not having the flash on during the pics gave the illusion of it being bottom drilled. Here's a pic (http://www.repositorical.com/aquaria/Nano%20Reef/10G/1-27-03/1-27-03FrontFlashFar.JPG) that shows you what the tank looks like in normal lighting.

BTW there are 5 powerheads (2 Mini Jet 404's, 2 606's (on a wavemaker) and 1 Maxi Jet 400) in the tank. I have the overflow box setup to do surface skimming which is then pushed by the MJ400 into the refugium which then overflows back into the tank. I might be changing the setup to go to a skimmer (came with the unit so it fits perfectly) first then into the fuge but I haven't decided yet. I don't have the digital camera here but I can take some overhead shots to show what the setup looks like if anyone is interested (yes I'm a setup/equipment fanatic :D)

The lighting is AHSupply's 2X36 kit with seperate reflectors to fit into the half opening canopy. I went with Hellolight's 10K and 03 bulbs however I may swap out the 10k for a 10k/03 mix as I love some blue coloring. That or go MH.

Next purchase for the tank is a CA Reactor. Just gotta sell the Alife and some other misc tanks I have around.

Thanks lowpro1. I started the tank with 20#'s of LR. Here's a pic (http://www.repositorical.com/Aquaria/Nano%20Reef/10G/Tank%20Rock%20Close%20Up.JPG) of the tank when I had first added all of the rock. I'm guessing know that I have 15#'s or so spread between the main tank and the refugium. As far as what kind of LR-Well it's an ecletic mix to be honest. Fiji, Tonga, some carribean shelf rock, and other misc pieces. Mainly I just grabbed whatever shapes and sizes I liked and fit them appropriately over 5 or 6 rearrangments.

As far as fish-I haven't really thought about what I'd like to do yet. Definitely some docile small fish (clown goby, yellow watchman goby, maybe a pair of purple firefish but that's pushing it IMO) but they will come much later. I've got another tank (42G Hex) that is FOWLR with a pair of false percs and some other fish in the works for it so it soothes my appetite for fish antics.:)

are you using stock 10G glass tank? Where did you find space to fit 5 power heads?

Yep. Stock 10G tank. Here is a pic of the tank with normal lighting:http://www.repositorical.com/aquaria/Nano%20Reef/10G/1-27-03/1-27-03FrontFlashFar.JPG
You can see 3 of the 5 there. The 4th one (on wavemaker) is on the left side of the tank directly under the upper one (on 24X7) and it is blowing to the right. The Maxi Jet 400 (on 24X7) is in the overflow box in the right hand corner of the tank. The two on the right side of the tank are on the wavemaker (Natural Wave by Aquarium Systems) as well.

Also in the left hand side of the tank I have my float switch and water return (not visible).
