I am flying into Burbank and driving to Oxnard next month. Are there any good stores that I just can't pass up while I am there? I will be staying in the Oxnard, Moorpark, Thousand Oaks area for 3 days. Next question is can I carry a amall collapsible cooler on the plane to bring any corals I might find back to Phoenix? Its only a 1.5 hour trip so I would think they would survive well if they will let me carry them on the plane.

Still needing info. I will be in California this weekend. So far the only suggestion has been AquariumCity. There has got to be some good shops between Phoenix and Ventura/Oxnard. I will be driving and will pack a couple of small coolers to transport goodies home.

Try this Fish Store (http://fins.actwin.com/dir/stores.php?c=1&r=65) link out and see what may fall in the area you are traveling thru.

Thanks KonaDog. Now all I have to do is figure out which ones are close to I-10 or the 101.

What you might want to visit -

Mark's Tropical Fish
12063 Ventura Pl
Studio City
(818) 762-7700

101 fwy off at Coldwater Cyn, south to Ventura Place (about a mile), left (east) about 1/2 block on the left (north) side.

Aquarium City
21723 Sherman Way
Canoga Park
(818) 887-7369

101 fwy off at Canoga, north to Sherman Way (about 3-4 miles), left (west) about 1/2 mile (just past Owensmouth) on the right (north) side.

I don't know if the "orange" level of alert will make a difference, but I had no problems carrying a bag of bagged corals on the plane from MACNA in Dallas-Fort Worth to Burbank back in September. You could always pack it up well and make it one of your "suitcases" (ie, checked luggage).

FWIW,
Kevin

You can also leave us a voice mail at

There is a store run by another person that is sublet from Steve. You can check out some of what Steve has available at www.reeffarmers.com.
