I have a bubble tip anemone (Entamacea quadricolor), a couple of Condylactis anemones, and a couple Long tetnacle anemones (Macrodactyla dorensis. I want to know how long each anemone usually lives if its needs are met, and also, how to tell if an anemone is having its needs met.

Hi NJW,

Anemones have no old age or senescence. If their needs are met there is not reason not to expect them to live several centuries.

There are documented cases of anemones being kept in captivity for over 60 years, and good inferential evidence from natural situations that adults of numerous species can live 300 to 500 years.

If you have all the anemones that you have mentioned in one tank, I will guarantee you will lose some or all of them to aggressive encounters.
