Hi,

Where is it possible to get PC lighting and the small cool bowfront tanks in europe(as close to Denmark as possible)?

I'm looking for at small bowfront tank(glass if possible) w. PC hood for my parents. I've been searching for about 5 months now, but I can't find anything usefull. Any links?

Thank you
Thomas S

Well, I've found this one:

http://www.ecotronics.de/shop/ -> click on aquarium in the left menu, and then choose Nano. But aren't they a bit expensive, and aren't the light useless for a nano?

Remark: The € currency (EUR) has the same value as US dollar $.
One € is equal to one $.

€1.00 = $1.00

Thanks,
Thomas S

Are here no non-US reefers?

I'd rather use glass, than acrylic. But thanks anyway.

if that's the case why don''t you just make one then? glass is alot easier to work with than arcylic i think in my opinion. if you need any help or advice just pm me.

It's kinda hard to make a bowfront yourself. :o)

I am from Finland. As per buying reef gear try http://aquaristik.net/ (in Germany). I buy from them and have never been disappointed.

Cheers

I've seen the page previous, and probably will buy my stuff from them. Allthough I can't find any nano gear on their page? Only the new Tunze hangon filters, but I don't think they are any good for a nano.

it's not hard at all, don't you have any glass shops near buy? you can order the glass bowed from them. have you never seen bowed windows? and i see that you keep talking about nano gear? what exact are you looking for? if it's lights that you are finding hard to find look around go to the local light shops , you could find some low wattage HQI bulbs around, if you wan to use PC's look for desk lamps for computer desks, or go to the
lfs and just get some t-8 bulbs???

i believe the internet is awesome, but don't rely on just that, go out and look around you'll be amazed on what you can find locally and use it for aquatic use.

I've been looking almost a year in the whole of Denmark, and found close to nothing. My country is so small, and the number of reefers are minimal. Especially nano reefers.

T8 tubes doesnt work, since you can only get 15W for tanks up to 50cm in length.

269 Euros/Dollars is quite a bit. Are Marineland Eclipse aquariums available to you guys over there? With a few modifications they make nice little nanos. They come in 3, 6, and 12 gallons. My 12g was about 90 bucks.

Perhaps moderator simonh could help you find a reasonably priced nano. He lives in Britain, but maybe he knows of a dealer or two that would ship to Denmark.

Good luck!

HALLÅ DANMARK!

Try this for light (retrofit):

http://www.aquatics-online.co.uk/acatalog/ASL_Compact_T5_Lighting_Systems.html

I was planning to buy a regular 12 gallon bow front glass tank (less then 50 Euros at my local pet store), build my own hood and put the above mentioned lights in it.

If you get them, would you let me know. . .
