Just sitting around and tinkering an idea while on my lunch break for another nano tank. I currently have a 4G cube and a full blown 60G. I just wanted something in the middle and also wanted to dabble in the DIY arena. I have access to a local Tap Plastics, Inc. which sells acrylic sheets pretty cheap and will cut them to size. I wanted something that was portable (Weight wise. I wouldn't move it that much) that has all the features of my 60G (sump, skimmer, and overflow). It will be made of acrylic of course and sit on top of the acrylic/PVC pipe stand/sump. Let me know what you guys think or if there's anything I might have missed.

Thanks,

Minh

Do you plan to light the sump at all?

Probaby not since it's pretty low. It might get some stray lighting from the back portion that will stick out due to the skimmer and PH portion 4" maybe. Too afraid of electrocution from the light wiring having the sump so low.

Thanks,
