Hello, I've got this guy in my tank and he's getting a little large. I'm considering fragging him.

I'm not certain of it's real name, the guy at the store told me it was some kind of leather. According to the instructions I've seen on here, the best way to frag a leather is by slowly tightening fishing line around the part to be removed.

Any suggestions? Should I try to split it in half (it's attached to two separate rocks) or just remove a "finger"? After that, I was going to try that toothpick trick.

thanks,

Zinger

Zinger,
If it is easy to seperate the rocks, I would just split the coral in two. Keep one "mother" animal, & go crazy with the other. Try different methods of cutting & attaching, etc.
good luck,
Bill

Thanks Bill, I'll give that a try and post pictures and results.
