just want to say hi, there is still life in N.D. I'm a grand forks, fish freek I have a 10 gal mini reef, and working on a 37 show reef tank, just got done building my canopy,next will be my sand bed,live sand ,live rock,water and then sit around and watch it for about 6 or 8 months,and see what pops up,

I see your hobby is aquariums too, what kind of tanks or tank do you have, reef ,saltwater fish,fresh water, ect, ect. you like to fish too huh, I'm a walleye fishing freek,summer weekends you can usally find me and my boat on devils lake, or lake of the woods, some day I'd like to get up that way and see if I can get hooked on to some of those salmon in Garrison dam. will talk again :wavehand:

All I have up now is my 29 gallon reef, and a 55 gallon freshwater tank. But I have pretty much always had at least one tank setup. Yeah during the summer I love to fish, don't get to do it nearly as often as I would like but no one can. Well I'll talk with you later.

I live in the ATO house here, my room is tiny, I have a 75g cichlid tank, 10g sw, another 10g sw, and a 5.5g sw...I'm looking to go to a bigger sw set up, but it's expensive...hehe

were did you get your 2.5, it's not a bow front is it ,Im looking for a rectangle,2.5 to make a brine shrimp hatchery, do you have any around fargo?

he got it at Petco, they have them there all the time, they're like 10-12 bucks

I go to two places in town and I never thought of petco, normally they don't have any thing for reefs so I don't even go in there< but I'll have to check them out.

but they DO (YES) have All Glass Aquarium 2.5 gallon tanks there for 10-12 bucks

and despot 101 yes this is a lot of action for this form,it would be nice to hear from other reefers from ND I know there out there,seems like the ones I've met in this town, Grand Forks or stuck up, or don't like working with others to better or share there hobbie skills,back home hobbiest use to work together,to help each other out on research,different ideas,get together and place club orders,fish,LR,dry goods ect, kind of like I'll scratch your back, if you scratch mine.
but I've talked to a hand full of people in this town,that say when there fish die they just get others, I think that's said.
I use to be a fish killer too, and Id love to get my 37 going but Im not going to keep killing my live stock off any more and I won't get my tank going until,I know my reef in side and out, I've listened to the LFS in this town for too many year,there not hobbiests,there bussiness men.

I completely know what you mean about the stores ripping people off. I was once told I could keep a tang or two in a 29 gallon....lol. I would get killed if I showed up here with that. There are a few other reefers in nd. My parents have a nice tank but they aren't online very often. If you ever make it to one of the meeting in Fargo (like the one this weekend) there are some hobbiest that actually don't mind helping someone else out.

Well LPS have to make a living too, shipping ain't cheap, but I feel if your going to be charging high on there product they should back there product and live stock better, and there staff should have better knowledge in the area there working, hell one day I went into the LPS, I've got this little 10 nano and when I first got it going I had about 7 lbs of LS in there and 6 or 7 lbs of LR, was all cycled out and wanted to put a fish in there, first thing the guy there was trying to sell me a mandrin goby, Im like not for one he'd clean my sand bed out in about a month,then he tried to sell me a panther grouper. you know how funny that would looks in about 2 years,LOL.

yeah all the lfs around here stock mandrins like they're the best fish in the world....

I think I overheard someone at Petco going home w/ a niger trigger that was also setting their tank up yesterday, sad day
