Ok, am about at the end of my rope with the PC lighting. I am going to make the switch to another system. Anyone want to throw thier 2 cents and help me figure out a new system, I would really appreciate it.

I went with the $100 metal halide setup discussed in ReefCentral. It is a 250 W, and has worked fine for a year. Steve N. is doing the same. Both of ours came to more like $130. That is for the bulb, ballast, mogul socket, and socket bracket. Mine also has a 4" fan. I think Steve is going to write a newsletter article on this system.

Hello,
I have one of those DIY ballasts and a 65k saki bulb (new) that i dont think i am going to use if you want it. you would need a mogul base and a plug for the wall and you would be set. Email me if you are interested.
