My original skimmer for my 55 swim through tank is a P.O.S, I am currently running my prizm on both, cranked up like crazy. Water quality is good but cannot keep it up forever.
My wife tolerates my reef habit (loves the tanks really) and this time of year, our money is slated for other things.
Does anyone have a skimmer lying around that is better than the *#%**# Aquarium Systems one I have?
I have even had an offer to borrow one from our club president, but still need to get one.
Thanks,
Chris

I have many corals, polyps, shrooms, Christmas tree rocks, Large brownpolyps rocks, we could possibly trade as well.
Thanks,
Chris
Happy Holidays

Are you looking for a hang on solution, like your Prizm, or can you use an in sump skimmer?

I have a couple of in sump skimmers and one hang on that might work. They are old, but effective. Could trade for shrooms, zoos or other interesting critters.

Let me go take inventory in the fish cellar....

Thanks Rob,
I can do either on this tank, large w/d with some room. I don't have many Zoo's, and they are tiny frags I just traded a fairy basslet for. I have a large brown polyp rock, some yellow polyps, tons of large blue/purple shrooms two Christmas tree rocks, xenia, L/R with star polyps, a few BTAs, a lone green Chromey, finger leather frag etc.

Hey Chris,

I have a HOB ViaAqua Multi-Skimmer Deluxe w/ 5W UV Sterilizer, which I have not used but appears to have all its parts.

I also have an Amiracle, in sump, Venturi skimmer. It would need a powerhead to drive it. It's small, but pretty effective for it's size.

I'd be interested in some blue/purple mushrooms if you are interested in either skimmer. I could drop it off when I pick up the bluezoo stuff. I also have a used Prizm (HOB), a generic in sump venturi, and a Lifereef skimmer. I'd be looking to sell rather than trade for the these three (I'm sure there are one or two more hiding in the fish lab!).

Merry Christmas Rob,
I am happy to trade, I might ask you to bring all, and recommend whatever when you see our setup. We can cut and frag what ever Thursday.
