I think these are zoanthids anyway. They are live rock hitch hikers. The biggest ones are smaller round than a pencil.

they are a type of palythoa, not sure of the name though. zoanthids have very short stems, and they are photosynthetic.
while the palythoa are filter feeders. i.e. Cyclop-eeze or simular foods.

So they don't need to be fed? Do you think they would be happier higher/ lower in the tank and more/less current flow?

theyll live pretty much through anything. more light might cause them to morph though...
