TEK T-5 on 30 Gal Oceanic cube

I am going to start Oceanic 30g cube soon.
For the lighting I, I am thinking about tek T5 24" retros...
But the Cube is only 20" wide. So there will be some modification on the mounting part so that ends would be straight line and parallel on each side.

Is this a good idea?

He has a 24" Tek Light for sale and has used it over a "narrower" tank..should have pics too.

But, I don't think he wants to ship....maybe you can convince him!

If you don't have issue with it hanging over the edges (aesthetics wise), then I see no problem with it. It'd be a pretty nice lighting setup...

The bulbs them selves may end up hanging just under an inch off either side. If that....
