I have a 24 gallon Aquapod. Iam having a problem with Nitrate. I do a water change every week and I try not to overfeed. However, I have Nitrate readings over 20 on a weekly basis. The corals all are doing ok. I have been leaving the sponges in the over flow. I rinse them almost every other day. Could the sponges be the cause? Any help would be appreciated.

i could be the bio balls they are known to cause nitrate problems. also think about adding some chaeto it will help to remove nitrates and phosphates. ur last option would be a skimmer but u really shouldnt need one.
