View Full Version : how many fish in a 10g ?

at the mo i have a 10g tank with around 10lb of LR. a sand bed,
and the following stock and equipment :

canister filter with rowaphos and LR in it
100wt heater
koralia nano
2 x 18w T5
berlin skimmer

stock :
cleaner shrimp
5 red legged hermits
cleaner wrasse
humbug
torch coral

will it be ok to add another small fish ??

how about scratching the wrasse and going with a pair of neon gobies. also the damsel will probably put a beating on anything else in that tank especially as it matures and grow to a 1/4 length of the tank. you might want to stay away from damsels completely if your looking to have a peaceful aquarium unless its chromis. firefish look great, stay small and has personality.

Most all gobies would do fine

The littler gobies [highfins, tangaroas, yashia] are a real good choice for a nano if your chemistry is very good and if you don't have a coral banded shrimp. Check out foster/smith among the sponsors.
Note: mandarin 'gobies' are not gobies and are not appropriate.

my chemistery is good. but im outside of the UK. so i cnt use dr fosters nd smith. i have a few good LFS though.
