Has anyone upgraded to 4 or 5 regular (not pc) T5 bulbs in a Red Sea Max?

I know the watts wouldn't be more, but the bulbs/color would be MUCH better.

Are you referring to just the bulbs? If you change the bulbs I think you would have to change the ballast as well if I understand correctly.

Yes, I'm wondering about a retro-fit.

Changing over to regular t-5's with their reflectors and external ballast.
