Well after months of gathering equiptment and planning, the tank is finally up and running!
The tank is an acrylic flat back hex 36x13x16 made by IPI

The biggest issue with this setup was getting any decent sized sump to fit in the tiny stand, none would so I had to get one built (Thanks to Doug Lehman) and dropped it in from the top.

I began by siliconing in an overflow box from a wet/dry that I painted with krylon fusion; note all of the microbubbles; it was an issue with the first sump setup design (putting the return pump in the middle), this microbubble issue was eliminated by putting the return pump all the way to the right instead.

I used a mag-7 as a return pump and turned down the flow a bit with a ball valve.

I originally went with a tunze 9015, but decided that was overkill and went down to a 9010 instead

The plumbing consists of 2 holes drilled for 3/4 returns one on each side and a 1" overflow in the middle. The returns split right after the scwd wavemaker which switches current every 9 seconds with this pump. Currently the returns are just 3/4 loc-lines, but I plan on adding penductors soon. (Didn't realize there was so many smudges until after I took the pic, whoops.)

next I took out the rock I was cooking for 4 months:

and then I began the aquascaping ( I put the rocks in before the sand so to have a more stable platform):

I also added live rock from my running temporary 20 gallon to help cycle the tank quicker and have the coraline algae spread on the new rock; Old Tank:

ok here is the tank after 6 hours of aquascaping last night... I was up until 4 am! Note the rock pillar on the right side.... Some of the corals are still closed up because of the move... This is with a 250w 10k hqi pendant and no supplementation; the colors don't really show:
