Ok, my wife is wanting to bless me with a bio cube but has asked if I would like an 8g or 12g. I was wondering how much of a difference there was between the 2 other than size.

Go with the 12, by the time you are done aquascaping, then put a coral in there, watch it grow some, your still going to want to get your hand in the tank to catch that pesky hitchhiker. You won't regret getting that extra little 4g!!!!

Sorry I don't know what comes with each, but I would assume the bigger the tank is, the more cool stuff It comes with.

I have the 14, it's a nice little tank for the money. I would definitely go 14, it's such a small upgrade in size you might as well. With the 8 you really won't have much room for anything but a fish or two.
On another note, you could always get the deal on drs foster and smith right now for a 12 gallon...aquapod i think it is, that comes with a halide light for only 175.00

They also have a deal with the nano cube 12 dx and free stand. Great deals.

I could, but the 8g is only about $110.00 after tax. It will be a tough descision...
