Which 3 gal pico?

I am setting up a 3 gal pico desk tank. Which is better?

Deco Kit 3 - 3 gal acrylic with 18w lighting

Pico-Tope 3 gal kit - glass tank, 9w lighting

Both are around $40 at Drs. Foster & Smith right now.

I understand how one is better as far as lighting. But which has the better filter, glass vs acrylic, etc.

If you have either of these tanks, please let me know how you like it!

im also thinking about setting one of these up. i like the jbj deco cause its made of glass. less likely to scratch.

Thats what I was thinking too, no scratches with the glass. But I'd get twice the lighting on the acrylic tank! Decisions decisions! :)

I have the JBJ and love it. I upgraded to the current 36w light and it is awesome.

I don't plan on doing any upgrades. I just want an easy to keep tank where I can have some zoos or mushrooms and some sexy shrimp. I have my other tank for the harder to keep corals. :)

the tom deco light is much better, but you have to be extremely careful when setting it up (live rock/sand) to avoid scratches
