Finally got around to cleaning my bio-cube, it was so covered in algae film and snail trails that you couldn't see anything....
This is going to be the Digs for my new Mantis. Looks like a solid pile of LR, but it's piled in such a way that it's totally open underneath, kinda like a tent, figured that the mantis would appreciate all the effort... :rfl
I'll be ordering the manitis 1st part of the week.

I have no idea where I'm going to get him, figured I'd look around and see if any loca reefers had one they wana get rid off. Otherwise it may take me a while till I find the "perfect" mantis...LOL

Yeah, can't wait to get the little beat so that I can do some serious macro images
The above images were taken with the basic 18-55mm lens
These were taken with a 105mm macro

I LOVE your tank!!! I can't wait to see the mantis too :)
What are those little red tipped anemone like things? They look like aiptasias but they're colored... (even your aiptasias look better than mine :rotfl:)

Sorry, no aiptasia in this tank! totally clean
Those are pink tip anemones...Kindof a pest, but cute looking, a few kalk bombs everyonce in while keep them in check
Even the ones that look like majanos are actually just harmless green anemones

I've never had much experience with a Mantis and from what I've learned, it'll kinda rip the tank apart so the Mantis is out....

Good decision. It won't rip the tank apart but it will take rock it can move to use to reinforce it's den. That usually means your most expensive frags  . It could also dig under your sand and undermine your aquascaping.
It's best to get the mantis first and design the tank based on the species.
Nice tank btw
