upgrading to a bigger tank

I am upgrading to a bigger tank. I do not want to move all of my substrate because it is mostly crushed coral. But I would like to get those shrimpy looking critters. (what are those?) Is there a way to catch them. I will get some of them when I move some of the rock I guess.

For the record: there are lots of shrimpy looking things.

I know, the smaller white/clear ones. About 1cm or so big. I don't know if they are amphipods or codepods. Which ones are the small white dots on the glass?

Mysis (Mysid) shrimp? Good luck catching them, but mainly if you are transfering your LR to the new tank plus all the water you'll get enough of these suckers to start an new batch.

If those are Mysis(Mysid) shrimp then what are amphipods and copepods?
