Does anyone have Sapphire recirculating skimmer?

I just got the BC29R skimmer to use in the sump of my 30G tank. Unsure how deep it should sit in the water for best performance. Sent email to Kyle at Sapphire Aquatics but wonder if anyone on RC can help?:)

What do you mean how deep ? It fits in the second chamber and if your water level is at the Max level it should be fine. The collection cup is adjusted with the rubber gasket. I have mine where the bottom of the cup is just at the water level and it produces nice dark skimmate.

No, this skimmer is to sit in a separate sump that is plumbed into the 30G. I need to know how deep the skimmer body sits into the water. Sorry if I'm not explaining this well enough. Can you measure how deep yours sits into the water?

Oh your using it a separate sump... The instructions say that the recirculation pump has to be covered... So I would say that high. Maybe 4-5 inches
