sure flow 1600 kit vs Tunze 6055

I just installed my max-jet with sure flow kit (propeller). Man is it loud! The alternative is the Tunze 6055 for nanos. $200 though

and xmas is coming :(

Anybody use either of these? Are there ways to quiet the sure flow?

I have my sure flow on a maxi jet 600 and no noise what so ever. I really didn't do anything special to it though. Just install and plugged it up and no noise. Clean the inside of your maxi jet. See if that well help
