Hi, I was wondering what is the best method to get frag(s) to mount to a rock? I was thinking of using a glue/cement but don't know what type to use. (trying to mount zoas/soft coral)

Thanks!

use gel type super glue that you can by in HD.

some softies wont take to kindly to crazy glue...

Mushrooms, leathers, kenya tree, xenia..will not like glue..

you want cyanoarcylate based super glues..use the gel forms it works better....

if mounting in the tank you have to use epoxy ...unless you are fairly violent with the frag once you put it under the water...as soon as the glue hit water it will skin over...if you want the frag to stick you have to mash the frag/glue into the rock you are trying to mount too to break the skin of the glue..

if you mount to a plug or tile you can epoxy that into the tank where ever you want..

for the other softies you will have better luck using elastic bands or garlic bag mesh..

I've found the super glue gel to work the best as far as glue goes. Make sure you get the gel, though, as the liquid stuff is a huge mess...
