Mini Me6

I started out with an Eclipse6 FW. My 5yr old decided to crack the plexiglass. I decided to epoxy the plexy and start a nano reef tank. I've had SW tank of my owm in the past. It will take a few readings here and there to catch up on the new developements. I'm sure I can catch up on the times. This is a picture 1/2 month old.

I decided to add substrate and chose black substrate. Water is preety cloudy:eek2: .

My AqauC Nano skiimmer was very loud for my living room. My wife was NAGGING ME, NAGGING ME, NAGGING ME to death:D . So I made this gizmo.

Made everything pretty quiet. NO MORE NAGGING:eek1: .
I went to my local craft store and bought some coardboard material and made this. It's a little more pleasing.

I measured Alk, Ph, Sp, Nitates, Nitrites, Amo had some opportunities in some areas, but nothing major. Had a small diatom bloom, my skimmer/carbon/water chages took care of that quickly. After 2months this is how my tank looks.

Water is clear. Water current is sufficient. And I'm starting to see little buggers:eek1: .

Now I'm waiting for my other testing kits to arrive along with my suppliments and coral food. It should be about a week or two before I start adding zoo's to my tank. Until then, I'm going to just keep doing my water changes and measuring my parameters. I also LOG all my findings. YOU CAN'T FIX WHAT YOU DON'T KNOW. Keeping a log is CRITICAL in MINI REEF keeping. I'll update this Bio in a month.

PS: This is a BUMP from my previous post "I Just Gave Birth".
