regardless, it's free. it can test the tds of whatever water you are using, esp if you are using an ro unit that way you can see when it is time to change your filters.

No, thats not the case. It is a secure site ran by buy.com and google checkout. They run the promotion every year around this time. I remember last year I was considering getting some Wii games because they were doing some deal where you got a considerable amount off and another 10 off for the google checkout (but they didn't have any good ones in stock)

They do deals for all sorts of things....

Being a new user of Gmail is what gives you the "free" since all new Google mail users get $10 off their purchase.

School books, computer stuff, etc. are some of the things I have gotten free...
