well i have a tank that has top measurments of 15 x 11" and its preety much imposible to find a good light that will fit ( in the UK ) other than a metal halide.

so say i didnt want a metal halide. but want to keep sps.. would 4 of these be ok ?

or just not enough ? i can only fit the 18wt version over the tank.

or am i better off going for 2 of them in with daylight blue lamps and a metal halide ? like this :

how deep (tall) is the tank?

i think your best bet is going to be 150watt MH or 70 watt MH...mind you there are lots of threads going with people having outstanding growth with T5's over SPS tanks..
