I forgot to seal up the bottom to openings on my Aqaupod12. I already filled it with water and have LR/LS in it.

I hate to empty the whole thing out and start all over again. Is there an underwater glue I could use to seal the grills??? Will the glue emmit any toxins into an established tank???

Thanks for any suggestions you guys have.

I'm not sure about silicon or anything like that curing safely underwater.

Cyanoacrylate based super glue products are generally reef safe and will cure under water.

You could make a little acryllic plate or something and glue it onto the grill to cover it. I doubt you would be able to fill the grills in with the super glue alone.

i would use epoxy...along the line of aquamend...epoxy could be flattened out the size you need to cover the grills then just push it in slightly so it mushrooms through the grill a bit...this will also be removable should you decide to sell the tank..

plus you will be able to mount frags or rocks directly to the epoxy too, and not worry about them being permenant fixtures of you tank...(ie like silicone or Crazy glue would have be)
