He helped me set up the whole 185 gallon tank on his own time, in-between clients and after hours. It was a custom tank that I ordered for my living room wall and it was quite a job. He brought a crew of two other guys the first day and we managed to muscle in the tank off of the shipping crates, and sapphire glass is heavy.
Then, he worked me in when he could an hour or two at a time over the next week for doing the plumbing. The tank itself came only with the wet/dry, the pump and the chiller. All the rest Bruce had to think up, plan out and pay for on his own dime until the final billing. He knows what he's doing, and i'm flexible on the time because I know he has large paying corporate and commercial jobs filling up most of his time.
He billed me cost on the parts and charged me very little for the labor, even though it was time intensive for him to drive up to Little River for an hour at a time.
I don't have anything bad to say about him at all. I think he's great, and honest, and strives to make things right. I'm sorry if anyone has had a bad experience with him, but i'm sure he'd be more than willing to work it out within reason.
Again, I don't know any of the circumstances between anyone that has a beef with him. I can only tell people about what my experience has been. I don't think he deserves to be flamed is what i'm saying.
