although lr looks cheap online, shipping costs allot...

I paid about $40 for 6# of Kaelini Tonga at PremiumAquaticsLive.com - which is still 6.66/lb (I chose to buy online bc the lr at my lfs' is crap)

Tampa Bay Saltwater is probably most expensive, but they guarantee a lot of hitchhikers

You could buy baserock. This is usually in the form of "dead rock". Then, buy a little live rock to seed the dead rock with bacteria. It will save money, and in time will still give good results.

I don't know how much you're going to buy but if you need at least 25 pounds this website sells cured Fiji for $3.00/pound shipped.

I can't say how good it is because I haven't purchased from them but I'm in the process of setting up another tank and I'm going to use them when I'm ready for the rock.

I just recieved an order of Kaelini Tonga from PremiumAquaticsLive.com - the nicest LR I have ever had! I have never seen a more neon pink coralline on liverock!

Only about 6$ with 2nd day shipping - much better than the crappy fiji the lfs' here sell for the same price! Packaged extremely well and gave me the exact pieces I requested.

Highly reccomended! A+++++!

Petco has Walt Smith liverock. It is artificiallly made, but very clean! You won't have a cycle and won't need much of a CUC. Also no shipping and you can buy it one piece at a time, as you can afford it. Your animals will never know the difference!

This is the place I usually use. The rock always has plenty of hitch hikers. Has always done right by me.
