I thought I'd post an update on my 14g bio cube. It's just over 2 months old as of 10/19 and things are coming along well. I've added a MJ 900 and a Hydor wavemaker nozzle. I just re-scaped it yesterday with the arrival of my newset Zoanthids..a colony of Superman, Hulk, Pink, and Eagle Eye zoo's. There are about 12 different zoo's in the tank now. I have one Firefish and a Pistol Shrimp..along with the snails and crabs.

Here's a pic from the first day..

kevin, i just bought a 14 biocube did you do any upgrades on your lighting? if not how are your corals doing under the stock? I see lots of people on here saying its almost a must to upgrade so im just curious on how you like it and what corals do you have in it? I know sps is out of the question but what about lps? can stock lighting do the job for them

I have not done any upgrades to the lighting yet. I would like to upgrade to MH lighting in the future. Here's a list of the corals I have and they all are doing well with the stock lighting.
12 Zoanthid colonies
2 Xenia colonies
1 Trumpet coral (Doing very well..it has doubled in size since it's been in the cube)
4 Green mushrooms

Best of luck to you!

Hey nice set-up...I like the aquascape and the coral placement.
Should be an awesome looking tank once the corals grow even more.
Are you planning on adding any more fish or inverts?

I've been thinking of adding a Coral Goby or Hector's Goby. I'm not planning on any additional inverts yet. But who knows..that can change by tomorrow lol.
There are more pics of the tank on the www profile link...or go to

In the pics in photobucket, the colors really pop out...
What lighting are you using? Stock?

I'm using stock lighting and all the corals seem to be doing ok..I would like to upgrade to MH in the future..then the corals should really show their colors.
