Just wanted to post this here for the creative area reefers on RC:
"The DVRC would like to announce a contest to design and choose our new Logo. We don't have all the specifics on whats needed yet, but we know we want to incorporate our letters DVRC and a "reef related" graphic. Lets keep to a max size of 3"x3".

We will update the requirements as needed, but I wanted to get the thread up so people can get started designing!"

What is the prize? I am hoping it is nice big aquarium, something along the lines of the Baltimore Aquarium... LOL Ahhh... wouldn't that be kick a**!!!

Anyway, I have the original Adobe Illustrator version of this so it can be as big or small as you want it... and we can change it around however you'd like.

I vote for Rods.....I only have a slight suggestion. That would be to change the small wording underneath to read

Dedicated to local reefers of DE, NJ and PA.

It just reinforces what the Delaware valley means.

Some might think we are only for Delaware.

actually, it seemed like everyone I met at the NJRC conference wanted to know where in Delaware we were. I agree that the logo should probably incorporate a short statement of our actual locality.

Lets give this contest till Friday. If anyone has any has any suggestions or new logos please post them. Saturday, I will post a poll, and we can close voting sometime next week. I would like to get this logo finished so we can give it to our web guy and have shirts made.
