which fans for a 6 gal n/c

Im thinking of upgrading my stock fans. Which fans are good for my NC hood. Do i have to modify the hood? Are they plug and play or do i have to splice the wires. Would be a good idea to install 3 fans, the 3rd going on the feeding lid?

What kind of temp. difference will i see in upgrading to the 50mm fans? Are they louder than stock?
