here are a couple better pics. There is really no edge. The coral was damaged and my LFS pretically gave it to me.

You actually have an advantage in identifying this yourself, through browsing at the various skeletal formations your more apt to get a true ID. Take note of the long columns of septa costa radiating into a star shaped coralite on the exposed parts of your peice; then cross reference here, take special note to look at Oxypora, Echinophyllia, and Mycedium:

Can't really tell from the pic but if I had to guess I would say Mycedium
