Does anybody know where to get 1/8" sheets of acrylic locally? I need a sheet about 1' x 2'.

Orchard Supply I believe has acrylic... I could be wrong. I know they have plexi and Lexan though. They can cut it for you or sell you scraps if you dont need nice pieces... I've used their lexan before and I think they have acrylic.

I know OSH has Lexan and that would work for me. But I see I typed 1/8" instead of 1/4". I don't think they have it that thick, but it is worth looking into.

1/4 might be bigger than they have but you never know.. Give the a call.

go to OSH. They carry plexi, but I'm not sure if they have 1/4". Scraps used to be sold for $.99. They have various sizes most of the time. And they can cut it for you as well.

OK, thanks to all.

Got my 1/8" stuff from OSH. Will probably have to get the 1/4" stuff from wakefield glass.

Now for the million dollar question. Glue? Can't find Weld-On anywhere. Is there a good alternative?

Ace in paradise has some weld on products. What number are you looking for specifically? I can take a peek tomorrow.

Thanks. 4 would be best but I would take 3 or even 16. This project doesn't really matter so much. I will need some 4 eventually though.

I bought some Weld-on #4 at Lash's glass in Chico a couple of years ago. You might try giving them a call.

Interestingly enough, the guy at the Ace in Paradise steered me toward a plastic shop in Chico. He couldn't remember the name but said it was on Hwy 32 just past the Penny Ranch. I will be looking into it after payday.
